Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Néonoé

Handbags

IMAGE: LOUIS VUITON

Louis Vuitton’s Néonoé is, without a doubt, a familiar one. For one, it’s an elevated twist of the ever-iconic Noé bag that has been around since 1932. Two, you might have actually seen the Néonoé out and about on the streets in the past couple of months, as it was released back in March as part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2017 collection.

With a Monogram Canvas body, the Néonoé comes in two mainstay colours (actually more like a trim) in Coquelicot and Noir that jazz up its otherwise mundane body. Then there are the seasonal hues, like Rose Poudre and Yellow that you’ll also find on the bag’s inner lining and strap that was released for SS17.

An interesting bag thanks to its adjustable strap that allows you to wear it in 3 different ways, simply adjust the length via its snap buttons. Move it to its longest and you can carry it across your body, or shorten it up for a completely different look in the form of a shoulder sling/tote. And because the strap is detachable, you can also choose from a wide array of shoulder straps Louis Vuitton sells separately for a totally different look.

Available in a single size, the 26 cm by 22 cm fits just about everything you need for a day out. An easy-to-reach revamped drawstring closure, which comes in the same colour as the bag’s strap and inner microfibre lining, completes the look. Priced at SGD1910, the bags might be currently sold out, but there’s no harm heading down to the boutiques to leave your name on the wait list as you can be sure this good-looking number will be restocked before you know it.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Popincourt Bag Reference Guide

Handbags

Introducing the Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Popincourt. The brand has brought back the iconic bag, that was first released in 2005. The bag which was named after a Paris market, was unfortunately discontinued sometime in 2010. The original design features two new styles, the Popincourt Haut which is a shoulder bag, and the Popincourt, a smaller size with top handles. For Spring/Summer 2017, Louis Vuitton has updated the design of the bag that is still made of their signature Monogram Canvas. It now comes with a colored calf-leather trim like Black, Saforn Imperial, Red, Marine, Taupe Glace and Raisin. It has two handles and includes a removable and adjustable shoulder strap. The exterior of the bag features a zippered pocket with a padlock. The interior is made of micro-fiber lining with 2 smartphone pockets and 2 large outside pockets. Available in 2 sizes, MM and PM.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Sorbonne Backpack

Travel

IMAGE: LOUIS VUITTON

For  ladies who love everything about the Palm Springs Backpack but have been waiting for something more substantial, this post is dedicated to you. From Louis Vuitton comes the newish Monogram Empreinte Sorbonne Backpack that has been released in 3 easy-to-match colours, namely Cerise, Noir and Rose Poudre. And while it’s not exactly 100% similar in terms of style to the PS,  it’s close enough, especially when you’re distracted by the stamped buttery soft leather.

Its features are simple enough, its 27 cm by 25 cm body sporting a top handle, slings at the back (you know, to wear it like a backpack) and finished with a front zip pocket. Only available in this single size at the moment (the Sorbonne is slightly shorter than the Palm Springs PM Backpack but what it lacks in height, it makes up for in length and width), it is perfect for those who believe small is good and smaller is even better.

Great for a day out with sufficient interior pockets – zippered ones for your important essentials, and smartphone pockets for you to keep it all in safely and being truly handsfree while you’re out and about, the Sorbonne retails for SGD3450 (full leather, that’s why) and is currently available at all 3 LV boutiques in Singapore.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse: Essential SLGs For The Boys

Accessories

IMAGE: JSK FOR LOUIS VUITTON

Last week you discovered what bags Louis Vuitton had to offer as far as their new Monogram Eclipse bags were concerned, which included everything from iconic classics to new styles given the Black/Greytreatment, which have been a hit since the day they launched. Today we turn our attention to the essentials we will use most every day, the small leather goods (or SLGs) that are as handsome as it gets when it comes to the vast array available now from this collection.

First up, a pair of the larger SLGs (shown above) that are big for a good reason. On the left, we’ve got the Pochette Voyage MM (SGD960), a 26 cm by 20 cm zip clutch that’s trimmed with cowhide leather on the top. Small as it might sound, it’s actually pretty roomy, and you can fit a lot in, wallet, mobile charger, keys, mints and then some.

On the right is the Zippy XL Wallet, for those who have too much to carry around on any given day, or (and more seriously), the perfect travel wallet. What’s on the inside? Well, for starters, 16 credit card slots, 3 gusseted compartments and 2 flat compartments for cash and receipts. Then there’s the extra large coin compartment, and even a pocket on the inside that will fit most smartphones, which is always a bonus. And when it’s priced at SGD1710, you really can’t argue with that, especially when it comes with so much on the inside.

IMAGE: JSK FOR LOUIS VUITTON

Next we’ve got the 4 more SLGs that are truly everyday essentials. From the iPad Cover Box (SGD1710) that keeps your iPad safe along with 12 credit slots on the inside, it’s like the perfect mini workbag on the go, assuming of course you’re one who works extensively on the go.

Classics in their own right, here are the 3 wallets (from the left to right) that no man I know will not mind owning, from the Pocket Organiser (SGD455) to the Multiple Wallet (SGD670) and of course, theBrazza Wallet (SGD830). One’s a card case (with a flap), the other’s your standard classic billfold and lastly, the long wallet for those who believe in more is more.

IMAGE: JSK FOR LOUIS VUITTON

And to round up the collection, here are some accompanying pieces you could consider if you’re all about the matchy-matchy when it comes to the things you own. From your standard keychain (SGD455) that you could attached your car (or house) keys to, to the 16 cm by 11 cm Box Clutch (SGD1350) that’s sort of your tiny wallet on the go (think lunch bag, but for boys), complete with credit card slots and flat pockets for cash.

Then there’s the Ribbon Cardholder Box and the Ribbon Cardholder, which I think will be extremely useful for those who work in corporate environments that require keycard access from point to point. Priced from SGD505, you can pick them all out now at Louis Vuitton boutiques across Singapore. Or follow this link and check out the full collection online, where you’ll find so much more available for sale from the new Monogram Eclipse collection.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse Bag And Shoes

Handbags

LOUIS VUITTON'S MONOGRAM ECLIPSE COLLECTION HAS STYLE TO SPARE

Presenting the Louis Vuitton Monogram Eclipse Collection. The newest variation of the iconic Monogram Canvas features grey and black colors which has been inspired by the black leather of the Malle Courrier from the Louis Vuitton archives. The collection was presented during the Men’s Fall/Winter 2016 runway show. It includes handbags, shoes, travel items and small leather goods. The Monogram Eclipse is made of mat smooth leather with dark grey shiny metallic pieces.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton's iconic monogram patterned canvas graces some of the world's most recognizable luxury goods. Some might say a bit too recognizable. Which is why the new "stealth" Monogram Eclipse version is so damn cool.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton

Like a blacked-out Rolex, the stealth treatment gives it a tougher, quasi-military air while still showing that you appreciate a true heritage luxury brand like Vuitton. And of course the construction on everything their atelier produces is top notch.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton

It's passed down from the handmade luggage that's the brand's hallmark, dating back to 1854. But the Monogram Eclipse goods are up-to-the-minute sharp, with metallic accents and hardware in dark grey to match.

Louis Vuitton

The collection consists of various wallets and bags along with sneakers, gloves, a scarf, belt and sunglasses.

Its expected to hit stores and LV's online shop on July 15 – so you've got time to make space on your rotation...

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton draws inspiration from the classic Malle Courrier trunk for its new “Monogram Eclipse” collection. Accordingly, similar luxe construction has been applied to a number of leather goods and travel items, as all pieces feature smooth leather details and dark grey metallic accents.
The line notes the introduction of four new baggage options: the Backpack Voyager, the Messenger Voyager, the Keepall Voyager, and the Travel Bag Explorer.
Additional bags, pouches and wallets are present, alongside belt, glove and sunglass options.
On the footwear side of things, LV offers up a military-inspired ankle boot and monogram canvas sneakers.

Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has presented its new Monogram Eclipse collection. First seen at the Fall/Winter 2016 show in Paris, the new line is another interpretation of the maison's popular and evergreen signature monogram design. Originally inspired by Louis Vuitton's iconic Malle Courrier travel trunk, the new collection now comes in grey and black.
Designed primarily for men, the Monogram Eclipse collection features a full suite of travel accessories, from bags and wallets to shoes and gloves. To showcase masculinity in luxury, many of the pieces feature metallic elements juxtaposed against the smooth mat leather. Other highlights of the new collection includes the Backpack Voyager travel bag as well as the military-styled boots.

Louis Vuitton is in an interesting spot right now. Even though the brand has long wanted to put more of an emphasis on its leather goods and deflect a bit of attention from its iconic monogram and Damier canvases, monograms are gaining popularity, and now it has to find a way to both stoke its leather business and capitalize on a conflicting trend in which it already fits perfectly.
On the whole, Vuitton is doing a strong job in finding new ways to use its monogram, and one of those is with new, slightly more subtle versions like the Monogram Eclipse that debuted at the brand's Fall 2016 men's show in Paris. The greyscaled version was developed under the oversight of men's creative director Kim Jones, and it provides a muted, sporty option for those who aren't into the traditional brown.
The collection also included navy and olive leather, plus some new bag shapes; one of particular note reminds me a lot of a luxury leather version of the canvas messengers Manhattan bike couriers frequently use.

(ME MESSENGER VOYAGER, SGD3000)

If there’s one thing Louis Vuitton does best (and this has been something I’ve constantly repeated over the years), when it comes to choices as far as bag styles are concerned, there are always aplenty. It was always the case for women’s bags, and with the new Monogram Eclipse collection, it is the same (if not better) for the boys as well.

So what can you expect from this special collection, which takes Louis Vuitton’s traditional Monogram Canvas and turns it Black and Grey for an update that not only feels really modern, it’s in a colour combination that even a man’s man will find hard to resist and not shy away from. And then there are the various bag styles (6 to be exact) that range from a backpack to 2 styles of duffles, along with a briefcase, as well as messengers in 2 different designs. In other words, there is something for everyone, and if you want, you could even get two (or more) just to make it a matching set.

IMAGE: JSK FOR LOUIS VUITTON
(ME KEEPALL55 BANDOULIERE, SGD2400)

First up, we’ve got the duffles, one the classic Monogram Eclipse Keepall55 Bandouliere, and the other, a new take on the Keepall, the Monogram Eclipse Keepall Voyager. While one’s an icon in its own right, the other is a tad smaller with a full leather base, along with relaxed canvas top handles as well as that all-important shoulder sling no respecting duffle can do without. Priced at SGD2400 and SGD4250 respectively for the Keepall55 Bandouliere and the Keepall Voyager, these are the bags you use for short jaunts around the region, weekend staycations and even as a gym bag.

IMAGE: JSK FOR LOUIS VUITTON
(ME BACKPACK EXPLORER, SGD3800)

Next we’ve got the backpack, which at first glance doesn’t really look like a backpack at all. Known simply as the Monogram Eclipse Backpack Explorer(SGD3800), it’s actually your typical backpack but without the usual front flap. Yup, no flap but that’s instead replaced with 2 short top handles, which actually stretches its functionality IMHO. Carry it on your back via its regular handles, or hand-held via its top handles, the choice is yours really.

Everyone’s lazy bag, also known as the messenger, is next, and with Louis Vuitton’s Monogram Eclipse collection, there are 2 distinct styles that come in a range of sizes. For starters, we’ve got the Monogram Eclipse Messenger Voyager that’s shaped like an inverted trapezoid (also known as the large front flap) that clips down to the sides of the bag. Finished with a top handle and your shoulder sling, the SGD3000 bag for the one in PM size is also more casual. Which brings us to the more formal of the duo, the Monogram Eclipse Messenger Explorer. Definitely squarish with a formal attitude to boot, it’s also more suited for those older amongst us, if you know what I mean. Priced at SGD2560 for the MM size, both can be worn across the shoulder with easy access to their contents.

IMAGE: JSK FOR LOUIS VUITTON
(ME BRIEFCASE EXPLORER, SGD2860)

Last, but by no means least, is the Monogram Eclipse Briefcase Explorer, your definitive work bag best suited for those who work in environments that request that you be smart on a daily basis. Measuring some 39 cm across by 30 cm in height, it’s a handsome bag, with top zip closures on a part-leather, part-Monogram Eclipse body. Lined with a tactile fabric and made available with a shoulder sling that’s also removable, this SGD2860briefcase, along with the 5 others already mentioned in this post, is now available at a Louis Vuitton near you.

In other words, Louis Vuitton has already done all the work for you and given you options galore; you just need to decide which is the best option for you. And if you still can’t decide, drop a comment here and I’ll see what I can do for you. Or follow this link and see the full collection online via LV.
